Tour Overview
Costa Brava also named “rugged coast” is located on the eastern side of Spain and touches France on it’s western border. Our bike tour takes you from the Emporda region to the the Parc naturel de Cadi- Moixero.
From the high mountains and jagged peaks of the Spanish Pyrenees to the rocky cliffs and sandy beaches of Catalonia, this bike tour of Costa Brava is an exciting adventure that combines the best of both worlds. Go biking in the beautiful countryside of the Baix Emporda. Ride your bike to the small rural villages of Palafrugell, Llafranc and Pals. Crossing into the Pyrenees, where you will tackle climbs and admire the views.

Day 1 Highlights
- Begin your adventure in Figueres, where you can visit the extraordinary Dalí Theatre-Museum, an artistic wonder filled with the works of Salvador Dalí.
Day 2 highlights
- Pedal through the Baix d’Empordà and uncover it’s medieval villages such as the town of Cruïlles with it’s cylindrical romanesque church dating back to the 11 th century.
- Cycle to La Bisbal d’Empordà, a town known for its vibrant ceramic shops, where hand-painted tiles spill onto sidewalks and artisans share stories of traditional clay firing.
- Pedal into Monells, a village so picturesque it feels like a movie set, except for the one battered pickup truck permanently parked in the main square.
- Enter the stone-clad silence of Peratallada, where birdsong and the occasional clang of a repairman’s hammer are the only sounds.
- Stroll through the medieval streets of Pals and enjoy the views of the Empordà rice fields from the Torre de les Hores


Day 3 Highlights
- Feel the salty sea breeze upon reaching Calella de Palafrugell, where grilled sardines sizzle in beachside chiringuitos, fishermen leave their boats on the sand, and locals effortlessly dive from the rocks at Canadell Beach

Once in Callela de Palafrugell you may get off your bike and follow the Camí de Ronda, a stunning coastal path connecting to nearby beaches and coves.

Continue onto the town of Begur and head on short but steep climb leading you to the Castle of Begur, where the Costa Brava unfolds in dramatic cliffs and hidden beaches below.
Day 4 highlights
On today’s ride you will tackle the col de Creueta, starting in Castellar de n’Hug, the most scenic location ! This route which is the higgest paved cycling pass in spain is a mix of switchback and beautiful views and passes by a famous ski resort, la Molina !
- Leave the Costa Brava coastline and cycle through the Catalan Coastal Range, a rugged mountain region linking Spain to the French Pyrenees.
- Ride through Gavarres Natural Park, following gravel cycling routes past medieval ruins and old farmhouses, surrounded by lush Mediterranean forests.
- Cycle through Cerdanya Valley, a high-altitude region known for its breathtaking Pyrenean scenery and expansive meadows.
- Conquer Col de la Creueta & Puigmal, two of the most legendary high-altitude climbs in the Eastern Pyrenees. Ride through winding mountain roads and dramatic landscapes, with breathtaking panoramic views favored by climbers and road cycling enthusiasts.
- Finish in Castellar de n’Hug, a picturesque mountain village at the foot of Serra de Montgrony, famous for its traditional Catalan architecture and historic stone houses.


Day 5 Highlights
- Explore Llivia, a Spanish enclave within France, famous for its ancient pharmacy, one of the oldest in Europe. Ride through the French Pyrenees, experiencing a blend of Spanish and French cultures amidst lush forests and rolling hills.

The interior design was done by the studio Tres Trastos, who took care of every detail, to allow guests to fully enjoy the light and warmth of the Empordà.
