Tour Overview

Discover the magic of Corsica on a self-guided bike tour through one of the Mediterranean’s most captivating islands. From the turquoise waters of Calvi to the perched villages of the Balagne, from the rugged Scandola peninsula to the dramatic peaks of the Bavella Pass, Corsica offers a unique blend of mountain and sea that makes it a dream destination for cyclists.

Ride along quiet roads through olive groves, chestnut forests, and limestone cliffs. Explore hilltop hamlets like Sant’Antonino and Pigna, and enjoy evenings in authentic Corsican inns and seaside hotels. With a mix of coastal rides, challenging climbs, and panoramic views, this tour is designed for those who seek both adventure and comfort.

Day 1 & 2  Highlights

Your first ride sets the tone for the week: scenic, authentic, and rewarding. You’ll leave the historic town of Calvi, known for its Genoese citadel and sandy bay, and follow a beautiful coastal route before climbing into the hills of La Balagne.

The first section includes a steep ascent toward the plateau where Corsica’s iconic hilltop villages are perched. Once on the plateau, the ride becomes more relaxed, rolling through a landscape filled with olive groves, artisans, and panoramic views over the Mediterranean.

  • Discover Pigna – Home to vibrant arts and Corsican polyphony (traditional singing)

    Day 3 Highlights

One of Corsica’s most dramatic cycling routes, this ride takes you along the cliffside roads from Porto to Piana, brushing the edges of the Scandola Natural Reserve. The route starts with a long, panoramic descent before a series of challenging climbs into the red granite landscapes of Piana.

Expect tight switchbacks, minimal traffic, and views that seem to spill directly into the Mediterranean.

    Day 4 Highlights

This legendary ride begins in Zonza, the heart of the Alta Rocca region, and climbs steadily toward the Col de Bavella. Surrounded by dense pine forests and Corsica’s signature granite peaks, this route is one of the most spectacular on the island — both visually and physically.

Along the way, keep an eye out for Corsican wildlife, including wild boars, goats, and possibly even the elusive mouflon.

    Day 5 Highlights

Your final ride takes you to the southern tip of Corsica, ending in the spectacular town of Bonifacio, perched atop white limestone cliffs. This is a more relaxed ride, giving your legs a break while offering one of the most photogenic finishes imaginable.
